Information for Presenters

Oral Presentations

For each oral presentation there is an allocated time slot of 20 minutes. This includes 15 minutes for the main presentation of the material, followed by 5 minutes for questions (and handover to the next speaker). A laptop computer will be provided for use in the presentations, however all presenters are welcome to use their own laptops. In addition to a projector, a 3.5mm jack cable will be provided for audio examples. During the coffee break or lunch break preceding each oral session, participating speakers should meet with the chair of the session and ensure their presentation is working correcting. The list of session chairs is included in the scientific programme.

All oral sessions will take place in the Salão Nobre (Main Hall) of the Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos.

Poster and Demo Presentations

The poster boards will comfortably accommodate A0 posters portrait orientation (841mm x 1189mm / 33.11 inches x 46.81 inches). The dimensions of the poster boards will also accommodate A0 landscape posters (1189mm x 841mm / 46.81 inches x 33.11 inches) but without much space to spare, therefore we recommend A0 portrait.

The specific poster board for each presenter will be pre-assigned before the start of the poster session with a small label indicating the poster title and authors. Those presenting demos are also welcome to have a poster next to their demo. We kindly request all presenters to ensure that their poster/demo is ready right from the start of their session.

Both the poster sessions (Monday and Tuesday) and the demo session (Wednesday) will take place in the Entrance of the Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos – the same location where the registration, coffee breaks and lunches will be situated. Any participants wishing to accompany their poster/demo presentation with audio examples are reminded to bring their own headphones for this purpose, rather than the use of external loudspeakers.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of power sockets close to the poster boards, therefore any participants using laptops are recommended to ensure their laptops are fully charged prior to the start of their respective poster session.
