By bus:
While the metro is recommended as the easiest means for getting to CMMR from downtown Porto, an extensive bus network also exists.

From the Rotunda Boavista (near Casa da Música metro stop), Matosinhos can be reached in about 20 minutes on the 502 bus (direction Matosinhos Mercado), exiting at the stop Matosinhos Praia (1 minute from Matosinhos Sul metro station – as shown above) and then walking to the main CMMR venues.

For any participants wishing to take the slow and scenic route (30-40 minutes) from Porto along the Douro River and then beside the Atlantic ocean, we recommend the 500 bus (Departing Praça Liberdade with direction Matosinhos Mercado), exiting at the stop Matosinhos Praia.

Bus fares are 1.90€ per journey. Please note, Andante cards (as used on the metro) are also valid for bus journeys, provided they have a sufficient number of zones for the complete journey.
For more information on bus routes, please see the main STCP website.
